For PipeIn, an Italian company operating in the field of robotics for hydraulic infrastructures, NOVACAVI has designed and manufactured the tether suitable for their special rover equipped with underwater cameras and sensors.
The cable, made of fibre optics reinforced with textile braiding, guarantees high mechanical resistance, flexibility and reliability in damp or flooded environments. Thanks to these characteristics, the vehicle is able to operate inside pipes even in the presence of water, performing continuous surveys and mapping of the state of the infrastructure without the need for emptying.
The use of a custom-engineered cable enables the deployment of high-precision sensing technologies while reducing overall operational impact.
